The Pirschpfad meanders in the middle of an environment of forest and water. On the one kilometer long secret path near the Weiherplatz, children and adults can discover the local flora and fauna up close. Child-friendly explanatory boards illustrate the habitat of the forest dwellers. Go on an exciting search for clues and become an explorer. With the Pirschpfad flyer (available at the Bad Peterstal Tourist Information Office or as a download) you can simply answer questions about the fauna and flora in the Black Forest. With the answers you receive your personal discovery diploma at the tourist information office!

For extra curious adventurers, the Touristinfo keeps discovery vests with extensive discovery material, such as magnifying glasses or nets, ready to borrow!

Especially in summer, the path is ideal to put your feet in the cool stream or have a picnic in the shady forest. There are many fun stations to discover along the way, such as the humming stone.

Suitable for kindergarten children and children up to 10 years of age.

Turn-by-turn directions

The entrance to the Pirschpfad can be found at the hiking car park "Weiherplatz" in Bad Griesbach. Here you go down a few meters at the information board on the right and meet the first signpost of the Pirschpfad. The red corner shows you in which direction it is going. Keep gooing to the right and follow the path until you have to cross a small stream and then immediately sneak right into the forest on a very narrow path.

You cross various wooden walkways until you come to a large tree staircase. You now have to climb the tree stairs - but be careful. You sneak along wild blueberry bushes, pass a tree throne and climb a small slope. A climbing rope will help you the last little bit up. Once at the top, you will come to a wide forest path that you continue to the left. Pay attention to the signs.

After a few meters there is a junction on the left. Leave the forest path here and follow the path that meanders downhill through the forest. After a bend you will meet the stream again, which is now on your right. You continue on the shady path, over a small slope and then come to a flat spot by the stream. There are large red sandstones here so that you can safely cross the water. Once on the other side, continue slightly downhill through the forest. Keep right here and stay on the wide forest path until you see a very narrow path hidden on the left, which leads down over tree roots. This brings you to the pond, which you cross and return to the starting point.
