Entry at Thranenweier, where the beautiful Krimhild from the Nibelungenlied is said to have cried for her Siegfried ... Every Tuesday in the summer months, the ranger tour with the national park rangers starts here at 2 p.m. Participation is free of charge, no registration required. Just come to the meeting point, walk along and be amazed. Information about the ranger tour and other offers of the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park is available here: www.nationalpark-hunsrueck-hochwald.de Along the approx. 2 km long circular route you can find information about the creation and preservation and the biodiversity of this very special habitat, the Arnikawiesen project.

Turn-by-turn directions
Follow the signposted path from the parking lot directly on the K 49. The path is quite flat, mostly tarred, the rest of it is firmly gravel. Suitable for prams, suitable for wheelchairs, but the prescribed max. 6% incline is not yet adhered to everywhere, work is currently being carried out on it.

- Es gibt einen gekennzeichneten Parkplatz für Menschen mit Behinderung in 100 m Entfernung zum Startpunkt (Stellplatzgröße: 600 cm x 550 cm).
- In der Nähe des Parkplatzes befindet sich die Bushaltestelle Thranenweier.
- Der Wanderweg hat eine Gesamtlänge von 1,6 km. Es handelt sich um einen Rundweg.
- Der Wanderweg ist durchgehend stufenlos.
- Der Wanderweg ist mindestens 200 cm breit, überwiegend leicht begeh- und befahrbar und hat maximale Längsneigungen von bis zu 8 % auf einer Länge von 40 m.
- Das Naturerlebnis über den Holzsteg ist ohne Neigungen zugänglich, wenn man den Parkplatz am Friedhof benutzt (Weglänge dann insgesamt nur ca. 500 m).
- Bei Holzbohlenwegen/Bohlenstegen ist der Abstand zwischen den einzelnen Elementen maximal 2 cm groß.
- Es sind ausreichend Sitzgelegenheiten vorhanden.
- Der Wanderweg ist nicht durchgehend ausgeschildert.
- Der Wanderweg führt teilweise auf einer von Kfz befahrenen Straße.
- Auf Nachfrage werden Führungen für Menschen mit Gehbehinderung und Rollstuhlfahrer angeboten. Es ist eine Voranmeldung notwendig.
- Hilfsmittel: Swiss-Tracks.

- Es befinden sich zahlreiche Informationstafeln am Wegesrand.
