This diverse and challenging mountainbike tour begins in Bad Peterstal with the first steep rise up to the "Freiersberger Hütte" and the Glaswaldsee. In the summer you can make the first break at the mountain lake before continuing. Dont miss the beautiful views around the Bauernkopf as well as the Buchkopf tower along the route. With the hotel "Zuflucht" as well as the "Renchtalhütte" in Bad Griesbach you have two great opportunities to enjoy the traditional dishes of the region.

Turn-by-turn directions

We start at the Bad Peterstal train station and begin our tour in direction of the Breitsodstraße which we follow some km until we turn left in the direction of the "Littweger Höhe". When we reach the "Freiersberger Hütte" we turn right onto a gravel path which follow until we reach the Glaswaldsee. We head on in the direction of the "Hildahütte" and the "Bauernkopf". When arriving at the Bauernkopf we ride along forest roads until we get to the "Alexanderschanze" (ski slope) and later to the hotel "Zuflucht".

From there we follow the L402 to the parking lot at the paraglider jumping point. We continue to the "Buchkopf tower" with a beautifulview you must have seen. From there on we go on down the mountain until we reach the "Renchtalhütte".After that we right on the pavement road in the direction of the "hotel zum Breitenberg" and onwards to the "Braunbergstüble". We continue down the hill until we reach Bad Peterstal train station again.

Diese Runde ist so nicht zu empfehlen. Wir mussten mehrmals improvisieren weil Wege in die wir abbiegen sollten nicht vorhanden waren. Und wenn vorhanden, nicht einmal zu Fuß begehbar! Nach einer Stunde gaben wir die vorgegebene Route auf und orientierten uns nach den Wegschildern.
