The Himmelsfelsen is a concise point on the route of the premium hiking trail Himmelssteig.
The "sky rock" got its name from the trail of the same name Himmelssteig, because from up here you can reach the sky. After about the half distance it´s a good place to stay for a while and have a break.
You can get a good view of the terrain from here, so you will be rewarded after the steep path uphill.
