I was a Canadian NATO SHAPE student at the Lycée Int'l from 1964-1967 living in Block 10, in St.-Germain, and in Paris XVI. The building was a hi-light of my life when it came to aesthetic stimulation; 8:30 am to 12:00 pm; lunch till 2:10 pm; classes till 4:50 pm. Green Saviem buses to Rocquencourt and another bus to ave Victor Hugo, getting home at 6:10 pm if lucky; in St-Germain I took a local blue bus which had a stop just around the school, grinding gears at 5000 and maybe 25 km/h top speed. Last year and a half just a walk down the hill. Magic woods behind and they are still there; the French do not change anything if it has function or beauty. I still dream of waking up there and going to the Petit Domaine to buy bread, cheese, wine and gum.
