The most prominent building in Lieser is the Castle Lieser, which was built in style of “Gründerzeit” amidst a stately park by the baron Schorlemer in the previous century. This castle was declared as World heritage site by the Minister of the Interior.

Dreis Palace, a baroque building with a rich garden front, was built in 1774 for Abbot Michael Hormann of Echternach. The interior contains wallpaper in grey and coloured print as well as a remarkable collection of paintings. The castle is owned by the family Georg Graf von Walderdorff and is inhabited. Visits are not possible.

Veldenz Castle is one of the biggest castles on the Moselle from the 12th century. It is situated about 5 km from wine-growing village Mülheim on a steep rock above Thalveldenz district in one of the most beautiful side valleys of the Central Moselle.
