Hinter Merzig in der Saarschleife wird es richtig schön! Aber auch der Rest ist toll. Vor allem am Wochenende, wenn an der Saarschleife viele Besucher unterwegs sind, nimmt man am Eingang zur Schleife am besten die rechte Seite des Flusses. In Mettlach an der Schleuse kann man dann wieder auf die linke Flussseite wechseln, das ist ab dort absolut empfehlenswert, denn rechts verläuft der Weg direkt neben der Straße. Links ist er wunderbar. Ab Saarburg hat man dann die Qual der Wahl, da es auch noch die Möglichkeit gibt, entlang der Altsaar zu fahren. Alles schön. Ganz fantastisch ist am Saarradweg außerdem die Möglichkeit, die Streckenlänge selbst zu wählen, da man überall in die Bahn umsteigen kann.

Wir sind die Lebacher Runde zwar nicht komplett gefahren, aber sie war wunderschön. Tolle Ausblicke garantiert! Unser Einstieg war in Saarwellingen (Parkplatz Freibad) von dort Richtung Labach -> Landsweiler.
